Jets list one DNP on first injury report, 49ers' superstar RB limited

The New York Jets are in line to have all starters available for the Monday Night Football opener against the San Francisco 49ers on September 9.

The Jets listed six players on the week's first injury report and four were full participants at Thursday's practice, including veteran wide receiver Mike Williams. Recovering from an ACL tear, Williams has only recently ramped up his practice regimen and will be on a rep count in Week 1 .

Veteran offensive lineman Wes Schweitzer was the lone non-participant due to a hand injury. The versatile Schweitzer is the primary backup guard and center. Meanwhile, left tackle Tyron Smith was limited during a vet rest day. The 33-year-old Smith will be on a maintenance plan aimed at maximizing his gameday availability.

Cornerback Jarrick Bernard-Converse, who sustained a groin injury during training camp , has returned to full participation. Reserve offensive linemen Xavier Newman and Max Mitchell are both dealing with shoulder injuries, but were not limited in practice.

Meanwhile, the 49ers have a length injury list with 10 players. The biggest name in question is superstar running back Christian McCaffrey, who was limited due to a calf strain and Achilles issue.

The Jets visit San Francisco for an 8:15 pm ET kickoff on Monday. There are two more injury reports due out prior to gameday on Friday and Saturday.
