Seattle Seahawks a strong NFL Survivor Pick for Week 1 vs. Denver Broncos

Nothing is certain in the NFL, especially not at the start of a new season. However, on paper the Seattle Seahawks look like a strong favorite to come out of Week 1 with a win. Their regular season schedule begins on Sunday when they host Sean Payton, Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos . According to the oddsmakers at DraftKings Sportsbook , Seattle is favored to win by a touchdown.

That's a big margin of victory all things considered, and as such the Seahawks are a popular Survivor Pick for Week 1. Three out of the five analysts polled at BetFTW had Seattle over Denver as their pick this week. Another picked the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the Washington Commanders and the last had Buffalo Bills against the Arizona Cardinals.

Around the entire league, the Cincinnati Bengals are the most-popular pick at 36%, as they will be hosting Seattle's Week 2 opponents, the New England Patriots. Seattle over Denver is at just 8% by comparison, per Micah Adams at The Sporting News.

Seattle should be a solid pick - the primary reason being the mismatch that's likely to occur when Bo Nix faces new Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald's deceptive defense.

On the other side of the ball, fans should expect Seattle to make former head coach Pete Carroll proud by embracing a pound-the-rock philosophy on offense. Several late-breaking offseason reports and recent statements from players indicate that third-year running back Ken Walker is going to be "the guy " in Ryan Grubb's offense.
