When it rains it pours, in all the positive ways for Texas' football program Saturday.

Less than two hours after wrapping up a dominant 31-12 victory at Michigan Stadium , the Longhorns added four-star defensive lineman Myron Charles , a Florida-native who was previously committed to Florida State.

Charles is a 6-foot-4, 290-pound prospect from Port Charlotte, Florida who initially committed to Florida State. While there had been no firm reason to doubt his pledge to the Seminoles, whispers emerged as Florida State lurched out to an 0-2 start to the season.

Those quiet concerns for Florida State fans became real and consequential on Saturday, when Charles officially announced his recruiting "flip" to Texas. While the announcement came shortly after Texas' resounding victory at Michigan, the Longhorns have been suitors of Charles, who took an official visit to Austin on June 7.

Now, he's set to become a key member of the Longhorns' Class of 2025, at the expense of a reeling Florida State program that desperately needs to hold it's top recruits like Charles.
