Cowboys QB Dak Prescott gets most guaranteed money in NFL history

The Dallas Cowboys made fans wait all offseason, but they finally have locked down their star quarterback to a long-term deal.

The Cowboys and Dak Prescott agreed to a four-year, $240 million deal according to ESPN's Adam Schefter . That deal makes Prescott the first $60 million per year player in NFL history, and he is also the player with the most guaranteed money in NFL history.

Per Spotrac , Prescott is getting $231 million in guaranteed money, which is $1 million more than the Cleveland Browns gave quarterback Deshaun Watson upon trading for him and signing him to an extension in 2022. On top of that, Prescott's $80 million signing bonus is the largest in NFL history.

The Cowboys are set to kickoff their season against the Browns later this afternoon at the time of writing, and they have officially locked up their star quarterback and receiver to long-term deals.
