ESPN's Jeff Darlington found himself in all too familiar territory while driving to the Miami Dolphins Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday morning.  He was close to Tyreek Hill 's driving arrest, a deja vu moment because he was also in a similar situation when PGA golfer Scottie Scheffler was arrested driving to the course for the PGA Championship.

Darlington said one key difference was the Dolphins could intervene because it was so close to the stadium.

Darlington also tweeted what he learned about the incident.  It began as a reckless driving violation; however, Hill got into a verbal altercation with police which escalated the situation.

All indications are that Hill will play in the 1 PM game between the Miami Dolphins and the Jacksonville Jaguars, but this is an eventful start to the 2024 NFL season that no one expected.

He had an attitude when he said Rose went down. He should’ve rolled down when he said get out of the car he should’ve got out of the car.

He escalated a simple traffic stop to getting arrested, He is simply ignorant if he thinks his status as a pro football player will help him. He should have sat in the Dade county lock up for a few days to cool off. A folks they can hold you for 72 hours before you are charged with any crime.
