An AFC West rivalry dating back to the 1960s, the Chargers and Raiders have been all but even the past several years. In their past six meetings before Sunday's season opener, each team has won three games, fueling even more of a desire for dominance on both sides.

Tensions boiled over during their Week 1 matchup as the Raiders visited Los Angeles. A brief brawl broke out between the Las Vegas defense and Chargers offense late in the game, resulting in two players being sent off.

After the Chargers extended their late lead on a 10-yard touchdown pass from Justin Herbert to Ladd McConkey, Harbaugh elected to go for two. Gus Edwards was tasked with converting it and rushed up the middle only to be stopped by the Raiders defense.

After the failed play, a skirmish began outside the back of the end zone with several members of both teams involved. Punches were thrown and bodies shoved as officials tried to break up the melee. Even Harbaugh made his way down the field and attempted to quell the aggression stemming from both sides with less than four minutes to go in the game.

The referees huddled and discussed who would be penalized after things settled down. Eventually Raiders cornerback Jack Jones and Chargers receiver Josh Palmer were both kicked out for the rest of the game. The whole ordeal ended with offsetting penalties.

Jones exited the contest with four tackles on the day, while Palmer pulled in two receptions for 15 yards.
