WWE RAW to officially change episode length for remainder of 2024, ahead of move to Netflix in 2025

Ask and ye shall receive, at least this time, anyway. The WWE has heard the complaints from the Universe about the length of Monday Night RAW as compared to NXT and SmackDown, and for good reason, because the latter two aren’t nearly as bloated with commercials that effectively turn a two-hour show into three hours jammed with filler.

They’ve subsequently made a blockbuster decision as they begin the network shifts to come over the remainder of 2024 and into 2025 — the promotion announced via X (formerly known as Twitter).

WWE RAW will now be only two hours long.

    Rejoice accordingly.

Beginning on Monday, October 7, and for the remainder of the calendar year, the Red Brand will stick to the 8 pm ET to 10 pm ET timeslot with not variations, sans the occasional few minutes grace period as allowed by USA Network. It’s one hell of a sendoff for RAW as it readies itself for departure to Netflix in January.

It’s also a might better than the bland sendoff of a package awarded to FOX in the goodbye episode of SmackDown last week.

It’s genuinely exciting news for WWE fans, though not so much for the sponsors who were bloating the show and raking in the dough at the expense of the viewing experience.
