The injury bug has bitten the two-time defending champion Las Vegas Aces throughout the 2024 WNBA season, but they'll look to enter the postseason as healthy and whole as possible.

As the season enters its final week, MVP favorite A'ja Wilson is not 100 percent.

Wilson went down with an ankle injury in Las Vegas' Sept. 6 win over Connecticut and was subsequently held out of the team's WNBA Finals rematch with New York on Sunday. While Wilson was wearing a walking boot during Sunday's game, head coach Becky Hammon said that imaging was clean and the boot was precautionary.

Will Wilson be in action when the Aces begin a two-game regular-season series in Indiana on Wednesday? Here is the latest on Wilson's status.

    Is A'ja Wilson playing today?

Wilson was not listed on the Aces injury report for Wednesday's matchup in Indiana, meaning the two-time MVP is expected to return from a one-game absence. Before tipoff on game night, Hammon confirmed the center will play against the Fever though the coach will be monitoring her minutes.

Entering Wednesday, Las Vegas has a one-game lead over Seattle for the fourth seed in the WNBA Playoffs. The Aces also lead the season series with the Storm, meaning they currently hold the tiebreaker in the standings. Las Vegas and Seattle play on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Las Vegas will likely prioritize receiving home court in the first round of the postseason but the way the schedule shakes out, the team currently has a slight cushion to remain in fourth.

Wilson has appeared in 34 of 35 games this season and is averaging a WNBA-record 27.3 points per game to go along with 11.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
