    Eduardo 'Rocky' Hernandez vs. Thomas Mattice undercard: Complete list of fights before main event in 2024 boxing match

    Eduardo Hernandez looks to return to title contention when he faces Thomas Mattice on Friday, Sept. 13, in Mexico. The super featherweight fight airs on DAZN worldwide.

    Hernandez (35-2) looks to go 2-0 in 2024 after taking out Daniel Lugo in May. "Rocky" rebounded after losing the 2023 Fight of the Year against O'Shaquie Foster for the WBC super featherweight title.

    Ranked second in the WBC's super featherweight rankings, Hernandez is ready to make a statement after signing a new multi-fight deal with Matchroom.

    "Mattice is a great fighter, and he's been overlooked," Hernandez said. "He is very talented, and he has a similar style to Foster. So I want to prove to the world that I'm more than ready for him and anyone else I need to fight to become a World champion."

    Mattice (22-3-1) is on a five-fight win streak, with four of those wins coming via knockout. "Gunna Man" overall has 17 wins via the power punch. He has a chance to spoil Hernandez's homecoming and move his way up the ladder.

    "This fight gives me the chance to make myself a bigger player in the Junior-Lightweight division and establish my presence in the division. It's gone be every bit of exciting as all my fights are. I'm ready to challenge myself with the top guys, and it starts with this fight in Hermosillo," Mattice said.
