Will one former member of the Chicago Bears find a new opportunity in the near future?

With the 2024 National Football League season now here, injuries have already started to pop up left and right. There has been just one week of games but there already have been several high-impact injuries.

One player who went down with an ailment is Los Angeles Rams star receiver Puka Nacua. He aggravated a knee injury and was placed on the Injured Reserve.

Now, the Rams could be in the market for a new receiver. Because of this, Bleacher Report's Brad Gagnon mentioned former Bears receiver Chase Claypool as a fit.

"The free agent: Chase Claypool," Gagnon said. "There's some decent depth beyond Nacua and Cooper Kupp, but the Rams would probably prefer not to rely much on Tyler Johnson, Tutu Atwell, and/or Jordan Whittington.

"Chase Claypool hasn't cut it in multiple stops since shining in Pittsburgh, but the talent is there and he's still only 26. Maybe this could be the right environment for him to rediscover something. Michael Thomas is another veteran option, but L.A. should bring someone in for a tough stretch."

Claypool appeared in 10 games over the last two seasons with the Bears and recorded 18 receptions for 191 yards and one touchdown. The former second-round draft pick had a dynamic start to his National Football League career with the Pittsburgh Steelers but has had a tough go over the last two years.

Hopefully, he can find another opportunity soon.
