There is some audio circulating on social media that appears to show Las Vegas Raiders beat reporters getting caught on a hot mic being brutally honest about quarterback Gardner Minshew.

The audio is from Wednesday's media availability after practice. It isn't clear who is speaking in the audio clip, but one could assume it's a pair of reporters who were in the room for the post-practice presser.

One of the voices in the clip expresses their doubt about Minshew's ability to lead the Raiders to a win over the Baltimore Ravens . And then another chimes in with something about former Raiders quarterback, Derek Carr, who is now with the New Orleans Saints and is coming off a strong Week 1 showing.

“Unless Gardner [Minshew] really kicks a--, I think he’s going to get his a-- kicked by Baltimore,” one voice says.

“Not a fan. not a fan, but I just want them to win, so I guess if he can help them win,” a different voice says, before adding, “Did you see what Derek Carr did the other day? Holy crap. I did not… [intelligible] Carr at all.”

Check out the full clip below (H/T @TheJoe Morley_ on Instagram).

If nothing else, this is going to give the Raiders a little bulletin board material. Whether or not that helps them remains to be seen, though.

Minshew made his starting debut for the Raiders in Week 1 and no doubt had his issues. He completed 25-of-33 passes for 257 yards and one touchdown, but also turned the ball over two times and the Raiders' offense struggled as whole, particularly because of the offensive line .

Interestingly enough, Minshew did beat the Ravens as a member of the Indianapolis Colts in 2023, so grabbing a win over Baltimore isn't exactly impossible for Minshew. That said, it's going to be a tall task on Sunday.

The Raiders and the Ravens will meet at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 15, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET.
