Manchester City are bracing for a stormy week ahead as they face a hearing into 115 alleged breaches of Premier League financial rules.

The reigning champions, who are on the hunt for a historic fifth straight Premier League title, could be in serious trouble with potential punishments ranging from a points deduction to expulsion from the league.

    A high-stakes hearing begins Monday

Starting next week, the club will be put under the microscope as the Premier League investigates accusations of financial rule-breaking spanning from 2009 to 2018.

The charges involve claims of inaccurate financial reporting and non-compliance with league regulations. City has denied all wrongdoing, with club officials eager to clear their name.

In February 2023, City expressed their surprise at the charges, stating, "The Club welcomes the review of this matter by an independent Commission, to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence that exists in support of its position."

Despite the seriousness of the case, City fans remain hopeful that their club will weather this storm just like they have done on the pitch.

But with a points deduction looming over their current title challenge, it seems Pep Guardiola's men might have more than just their rivals to worry about this season.
