Liverpool have had a perfect start to the season under new boss Arne Slot, but not everything seems rosy for star right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Despite the Reds winning their first three games without conceding a goal, concerns have surfaced about the relationship between Slot and Alexander-Arnold, with Paul Scholes suggesting there might be tension brewing.

Scholes senses trouble in Arne Slot & Trent Alexander-Arnold's relationship

On the Stick to Football podcast, Paul Scholes raised eyebrows with his observations of Slot’s body language during Liverpool’s 3-0 thrashing of Manchester United.

“Every time Trent gave the ball away, Slot was shaking his head. He kept looking away and turning around to his bench. I thought, ‘I’m not sure if he likes him,’” Scholes said, hinting that the new manager might not be a fan of Trent’s risky long balls.

This isn’t the first time fans have questioned Alexander-Arnold’s future at Liverpool. After Jurgen Klopp’s emotional departure last season, rumors swirled that the full-back might seek a new challenge.

With just 12 months left on his contract, Real Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on him as a long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal.

Despite the speculation, Trent remains an integral part of the team, and as Liverpool prepare to take on Nottingham Forest at Anfield, he will once again be key in Slot’s game plan.
