After some concern that he may not play, the Las Vegas Raiders saw the debut of No. 13 overall pick and tight end Brock Bowers in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers , and he had a positive showing overall.

It wasn't a good game for the Raiders' offense by any stretch, but Bowers still pulled in six catches for 58 yards. He was targeted more than any other pass-catcher and led the way in receptions, also.

After dealing with a foot injury during the offseason that kept him out of practice for an extended period of time, Bowers was cleared in time for the season-opener.

But as the Raiders released their first injury report of the week ahead of the upcoming matchup against the Baltimore Ravens , Bowers was on it.

    Brock Bowers injury update

According to the team's official injury report on Wednesday, Bowers (foot) was listed as a full participant in practice, which is an upgrade from where he was at this time last week.

Knowing that, it appears Bowers is in a better spot health-wise than he was at this point last week and the full session means there's no concern for his status for Week 2.

Brock Bowers start or sit advice

After leading the team in both targets and receptions last week, it's clear Bowers is going to have a big role in this offense in 2024 and concerns about his chemistry with quarterback Gardner Minshew are nil.

The Raiders' Week 2 opponent, the Ravens, have the potential to put up a lot of points on Las Vegas' defense, especially when you consider how bad the Raiders are against the run and how good the Ravens are at running the football.

If the Raiders find themselves trailing, it'll be a perfect game script for Bowers to produce. Fire up the rookie as your tight end with confidence in Week 2.
