Pittsburgh Steelers OC Arthur Smith explains why he might be 'sick in the head'

The Pittsburgh Steelers ' offense was anything but good in the Week 1 win over the Atlanta Falcons , but there were at least a few bright spots during the contest.

One of them came in the fourth quarter, when the Steelers put together a 13-play drive that milked seven minutes off the clock, which was huge when you consider it was a one-score game at the time.

Unfortunately, the Steelers couldn't finish it off and put the game away and instead had a turnover on downs after failing to convert on a fourth-and-1 from the Falcons' six-yard line. Thankfully, the defense made a stop on the next drive.

Offensive coordinator Arthur Smith regrets the fact that his unit couldn't finish things off right there, but he was pleased with the series nonetheless.

"The one thing that I wish we had handled that long drive we had, we really could have gone for the kill shot there and credit to them," Smith said, per ESPN's Brooke Pryor . "They out executed us on 3rd and 2 and 4th and 1, but that took a lot of clock, and we were rolling 'em off the ball."

Despite the failed fourth-and-1 conversion, Smith labeled the drive "beautiful," which he said makes him "sick in the head."

"So, as a coach, maybe I'm sick in the head, but that was beautiful to me," he said.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and for Smith, a seven-minute drive in the fourth quarter that doesn't produce any points is beautiful. Hey, to each their own.
