The Indianapolis Colts have a pretty strong pass rush but a defense can never have too many players getting after the passer.

After losing their leading edge rusher from last season, Samson Ebukam, to a torn Achilles in training camp , the Colts are expecting rookie Laiatu Latu to step up into a bigger role.

The first-round pick had a strong debut in Week 1, registering three quarterback pressures on 20 pass-rush snaps, according to Next Gen Stats .

If they wanted to look toward a potential trade target, though, Dan Pizzuta of The 33rd Team believes the Colts are a potential landing spot for New York Jets star Haason Reddick.

While the Jets have publicly said they have no intentions of trading Reddick — after they traded for him this offseason — anything can happen over the course of the season.

Though Latu profiles well at the LEO position in Gus Bradley's defense, having a formidable attack with Reddick in the picture could be enticing.

Reddick has been one of the most consistent pass-rushers in the NFL over the last four seasons. His 50.5 sacks since 2020 rank fourth behind only T.J. Watt, Myles Garrett and Trey Hendrickson.

Ebukam is unlikely to return from his Achilles injury this season, and he'll be playing on the final year of his deal in 2025. Also, it's never clear how players will return from an Achilles tear, especially those who rely on explosiveness and get-off.

It's unlikely the Colts would land Reddick in a trade but if he becomes available, they certainly should take a look.
