After suffering yet another concussion in the Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills , there is no shortage of concern about the well-being of Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, which has led to Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce suggesting he retire.

Tagovailoa already had a troubling past with concussions after suffering at least two bad ones in recent years. And things got even more troublesome after he suffered his third known concussion since entering the NFL on Thursday night.

When asked about Tagovailoa's latest concussion, Pierce said he thinks Tua should retire in what was very sound advice.

"I'll be honest, I'd tell him to retire. It's not worth it," Pierce said . "I haven't witnessed anything like I've seen that's happened to him three times. Scary, you could see right away the player's faces on the field. You could see the sense of urgency from everybody to get Tua help.

"I just think, at some point, he's going to live longer than he's going to play football. Take care of your family."

To see this response coming from a former player and current head coach who is notoriously tough says everything you need to know about how concerning Tua's situation is and it's hard not to agree with Pierce here.

Tua has taken a lot of punishment since entering the league and with what we know about the long-term effects of head injuries in this day and age, there is already major concern for him, and that will only grow if he continues to play.

It would stink to lose a talent like Tua, but some things are bigger than football and Tua's well-being is certainly one of those things.
