With training camp quickly approaching, unsigned free agents have been seeking opportunities to work out in front of NBA teams.

This week, a 12-year NBA veteran will get a chance to demonstrate his worth to a surging organization.

“According to sources, free agent forward Jae Crowder will be working out with the Sacramento Kings this week,” Fox 40 News’ Sean Cunningham said. “The 34-year-old veteran was with the (Milwaukee) Bucks last season. Like last month with Isaiah Thomas, Crowder will join roster players in town seeking on-court competition.”

Crowder isn’t the most attractive free agent on the market, but he's shown he can be a serviceable two-way competitor. The Marquette product is good for one to two catch-and-shoot triples per contest and several competent defensive showings.

Due to a nagging left adductor injury this past season, Crowder participated in just 61% of the Bucks’ regular season contests. Since making his NBA debut in 2012, Crowder has represented eight different franchises. During the 2015-16 season, his most productive campaign from a scoring standpoint, he finished as the Boston Celtics’ third-leading scorer with 14.2 points per contest.

Crowder has also reached the postseason on 11 occasions, with his only miss occurring during his rookie season. He's contributed 10.1 points per game while appearing in 115 playoff clashes.

The Sacramento Kings’ championship odds won’t skyrocket with Crowder, but evaluating an effective 6-foot-6 wing with meaningful playoff experience can't hurt.
