The Boston Red Sox star slugger Rafael Devers is not ready to give up on the postseason, per Pete Abraham . The Sox only gave 15 games left in the season, and are four and a half games behind the last slot in the race.

In his postgame interview against the New York Yankees, Devers stated, "We still need to fight." Abraham replied asking if there is enough time. Devers replied, "You have to stay positive. You can come tomorrow and win then win the next two games and you're right back there again in the fire. Keep playing and stay positive."

The Sox still have a real chance to make the playoffs. Their performance since the All-Star Break has been miserable, but they still have a shot. They need to win, win, win. It may seem improbable, but if some of their hitters could go back on hot streaks, such as Devers, Triston Casas, Masataka Yoshida, and Jarren Duran, they could make that last Wildcard spot.

In any case, the Sox’s future is bright, as their farm is full of young stars, and they definitely will be contenders next season.

The Sox will play New York again and try to pick up a win tonight at 7:10pm EST.
