The Los Angeles Dodgers will have to make some tough decisions about some free agents this winter.

Los Angeles lucked out by signing Teoscar Hernández to a surprising deal this past winter. He will be a free agent once again and after a great season, it may be hard to retain him. Hernández earned his second All-Star nod this year and has 28 home runs and 87 RBIs so far this season in 139 games played.

That type of production should get him a solid deal this winter and MLB.com's Mark Feinsand mentioned him as a possible fit for the Detroit Tigers.

"If the Tigers decide to spend on free agents this winter, it seems unlikely that they would be in the mix for top names such as Juan Soto or Alex Bregman," Feinsand said. "(Pete Alonso) could be an option, as could Willy Adames, Ha-Seong Kim, Anthony Santander, or Teoscar Hernández."

Detroit has surprised some people this season and will have some money to spend this winter. The Tigers are a team that likely could offer him a multi-year deal at a solid annual value that Los Angeles likely won't.

If he wants to compete for a World Series title in 2025, it would make sense for him to stick around in Los Angeles. The Dodgers certainly will have some competition for his services, though, and Detroit could be an intriguing team to watch for.
