The Indianapolis Colts (0-1) and Green Bay Packers (0-1) released their final injury reports with designations Friday ahead of the Week 2 matchup at Lambeau Field.

As the Colts prepare for the likelihood of facing backup quarterback Malik Willis , they will be without at least one crucial defender in the secondary while two starters on the defensive line are game-time decisions.

The Colts will see the return of kicker Matt Gay, who was a full participant throughout the entire week after undergoing hernia surgery after the offseason. Meanwhile, they could see the return of a key playmaker on offense as well.

Indy will also be without starting cornerback JuJu Brents , who is likely to miss the remainder of the season with an MCL injury.

On the other sideline, the Packers are very likely to be without star quarterback Jordan Love, but they are leaving the door open for what would be a shocking development if he played after suffering an MCL sprain in Week 1.

They have two other players listed as questionable, one of which is a key starter on the offensive side of the ball.

We'll make any updates to this if either team makes changes to their injury reports Saturday, but these are the players with injury designations for the Week 2 matchup.

Colts vs. Packers Week 2: Full injury designations

    Indianapolis Colts

    Out

    • S Julian Blackmon (shoulder)

This is a major blow to the Colts secondary — one that already had plenty of question marks. Head coach Shane Steichen said Friday that this shoulder injury is the same that kept Blackmon out of the final month of the 2023 season, but they don't view it to be long-term. This means the Colts will be without two starters in a secondary that already looked like a massive liability in Week 1.

    Questionable

    • DT DeForest Buckner (back)
    • WR Josh Downs (ankle)
    • DE Kwity Paye (hamstring)

Buckner didn't practice all week but considering his history of playing through injury and the leadership he brings, it wouldn't be a surprise if he played Sunday. Downs was limited Wednesday and Thursday before progressing toward a full participant on Friday. That bodes well for his chances to make his season debut. Paye didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday but was limited on Friday. He's a true game-time decision.

    No Designation

    • K Matt Gay (hernia)

After missing Week 1, Gay will make his season debut on Sunday. He's coming off a shaky preseason, but the Colts have not wavered in their confidence in the $22.5 million kicker. He was a full participant all week.

    Green Bay Packers

    Questionable

    • QB Jordan Love (knee)
    • RB MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring)
    • WR Jayden Reed (calf, shin)

There's a very unlikely chance Love actually suits up for the Packers on Sunday. His timeline is expected to keep him out a few more weeks, and he didn't practice all week. Without a Wolverine-esque healing factor, it would be a shock if he plays. Lloyd has been out since the preseason with a hamstring injury and was limited all week. Reed was a late-week addition to the injury report as a limited participant in Friday's practice.

    No Designation

    • CB Corey Ballentine (oblique)
    • DT Kenny Clark (toe)
    • RB Josh Jacobs (back)
    • LB Edgerrin Cooper (knee)
    • LB Quay Walker (groin)

Jacobs is the big name here as he was limited all week but with no designation, he'll have his typical workload. That's an issue for a struggling Colts' run defense.
