Bengals legend says NFL clearly favors Chiefs after controversial pass interference call

The Cincinnati Bengals fell to 0-2 on the season with a Week 2 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The game ended on a controversial call on 4th and 16 when Patrick Mahomes uncorked a pass downfield and drew a pass interference call on Dijahn Anthony. Kansas City got set up in field goal position and kicker Harrison Butker sealed the win with a game-winning field goal.

The call instantly became the talk of the NFL with everyone weighing in on if they thought the call was correct or not with many claiming the Chiefs are shown favoritism by officials . One Bengals legend says the league is doing their best to help the Chiefs win.

In a post on X, T.J. Houshmandzadeh said that the NFL should just give the Chiefs a 20-0 record in advance.

"Give every game to the Chiefs [the] rest of the season," Houshmandzadeh said. "Refs [are] in their favor every game. Why play the game if we know results beforehand?"

Needless to say the former Bengals star is upset about the call. Regardless, the Bengals need to get things on track and do it fast. They are already two games behind the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North, as Pittsburgh is 2-0. They'll take on the Washington Commanders and Carolina Panthers in the next two weeks, so they have a chance to get back to .500.
