As the NFL season goes on teams will continue to make roster moves to their 53-man roster and also the practice squad in hopes of finding talented players who can help them win in the present, future or both.

On Tuesday, the New England Patriots opened another spot on the practice squad by releasing wide receiver Jalen Reagor.

Reagor, 25, was a first-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020 out of TCU, where he was Second-team All-Big 12 twice. He lasted just two seasons in Philadelphia before he was traded to the Minnesota Vikings for a conditional fifth and a seventh-round pick. New England signed Reagor to their practice squad last year, and he ended up playing in 11 games for them, catching seven passes for 138 yards and returning seven kicks for 221 yards and a touchdown.

The Patriots wide receiver room now includes K.J. Osborn, DeMario Douglas, Tyquan Thornton, Kayshon Boutte, Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker on the active roster and Matt Landers on the practice squad. Kendrick Bourne is on reserve/PUP and can return after Week 4.

New England has two open spots on their practice squad and can fill those whenever they'd like.
