Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has earned many awards in his 18-year career.

Rodgers is a four-time league Most Valuable Player, a 10-time Pro Bowler, and was MVP of Super Bowl XLV. However, his latest award is more dubious than illustrious.

In a poll of more than 3,000 fans conducted by Action Network , Rodgers was named the NFL’s ‘Most Annoying Player.’ And it wasn’t even close.

Rodgers, who now plays for the New York Jets, was the leading vote-getter with 27%, far outpacing Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (17%) and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (10%).

Rodgers was the top choice as ‘Most Annoying’ by 24 of 32 fan bases, including the Cheese Heads of Green Bay. Kelce was named “Most Annoying’ by the remaining eight fan bases across the league.

While incredibly talented and successful on the field, Rodgers has a complex legacy with the Packers. “Rodgers performed poorly in big games,” NFL reporter Rob Reischel said . “He was also at the center of continuous off-the-field drama that alienated many fans and did tremendous harm to his reputation in Green Bay.”

His career started with a frosty relationship with his predecessor, Brett Favre. Rodgers also had a difficult relationship with former head coach Mike McCarthy and was accused of taking passive-aggressive shots at coaches and teammates throughout his tenure.

At the end of his stint in Green Bay, Rodgers drew the ire of fans for his indecisiveness about playing for the Packers, his controversial appearances on The Pat McAfee Show, and lying about being vaccinated.

In 2023, he followed in Favre’s footsteps again as he was traded to the New York Jets.
