The Indianapolis Colts got the win in Week 3, but quarterback Anthony Richardson continues to struggle with consistency as a passer.

The second-year quarterback is essentially in a continuation of his rookie season, but his consistency as a passer seems to have regressed.

Richardson entered the Week 3 game against the Chicago Bears completing 49.1% of his passes for 416 yards, three touchdowns, four interceptions and a 65.2 passer rating.

It didn't get much better in Week 3 as Richardson still struggled with accuracy on wide-open throws while making some incredibly questionable decisions.

    Anthony Richardson stats today

In the Week 3 win over the Bears, Richardson completed 10-of-20 passes for 167 yards, no touchdowns, two interceptions and a 39.0 passer rating.

It's the first time since 1989 that the Colts won a game in which their quarterback recorded a passer rating of 39.0 or lower.

According to Next Gen Stats, Richardson focused on getting the ball out much quicker than his first two games of the season. Richardson's time to throw was 2.62 seconds, drastically faster than his first two outings.

Richardson thrived on quick throws (under 2.5 seconds), completing 6-of-9 attempts for 51 yards. Meanwhile, Richardson was 4-of-11 passing for 116 yards and two touchdowns on dropbacks longer than 2.5 seconds.

The ups and downs will continue with Richardson as he essentially resumes his rookie season, but he has to limit the turnovers and negative explosive plays.
