Tennessee Titans named possible trade suitor for former No. 1 overall pick

Things have not gone the way the Tennessee Titans hoped for second-year signal-caller Will Levis, who has struggled mightily to begin the season after the team spent significant resources to improve the situation around him.

Levis has been a big reason the Titans are 0-3. The Kentucky product has made some terrible decisions, leading to a whopping eight turnovers over three games. Making matters worse, the Titans' offensive line hasn't been able to protect him.

With the future at the quarterback position in Tennessee not looking great right now, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox believes the Titans should get on the phone and call the Carolina Panthers about former No. 1 overall pick, Bryce Young.

The New York Jets could be interested in pursuing Young as a potential heir to the 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers. The Titans could also be interested in the 23-year-old as a long-term QB play if second-year man Will Levis continues to struggle.

Young was benched by the Panthers in Week 3 in favor of Andy Dalton after the young quarterback has struggled mightily over his first season-plus in the NFL.

While the talent around him has certainly been an issue at times, Young simply isn't playing well, and that was never more clear than when the Panthers saw a massive improvement on offense with Dalton under center in Week 3.

A change of scenery could help, but going to the Titans might not be an ideal fit for him considering Tennessee's offensive line woes.

However, the Titans wouldn't have to deploy Young right away as they continue to get a look at Levis. They could keep Young in their back pocket for the rest of the season and then give him a look in 2025 if Levis doesn't pan out.
