Boston Red Sox rookie infielder Vaughn Grissom is finally putting up numbers in his last four games with the Red Sox. At the beginning of the season, he was looking like a bust that the Sox traded their ace for.

Grissom was traded for ace Chris Sale, which was a move disliked by many at the beginning. It was even more disliked when Grissom got immediately injured, and when he returned he hit well below .200.

Then Grissom got sent down to AAA, and he started to regain his confidence. Now, his bat has been a core part of the lineup these past four games.

In the past four games, Grissom has a .333 average, a double, two RBI, two stolen bases, a walk and only one strikeout.

If you combine his entire September stats, both AAA and MLB, his splits are .339/.481/.525/1.006, with two doubles, three homers, 14 RBI, four stolen bases, 17 walks, and nine strikeouts.

If Grissom can keep this up, he probably will be the Opening Day 2025 starter at second base, or at least on the MLB roster for the Sox next season.
