Former Georgia running back James Cook helped his undefeated Buffalo Bills squad destroy the Jacksonville Jaguars 47-10 on Monday Night Football. Cook scored Buffalo’s first touchdown of the night as the team moved to 3-0, but the 24-year-old star made headlines with his postgame response to a question about former teammate Stefon Diggs.

“Can we not talk about that?” Cook said, per Tyler Dunne of Go Long .

Cook clearly wanted to keep the focus on Buffalo’s emphatic win and overall hot start to the 2024 season. He even cut off the rest of the reporter’s question on Diggs with a simple “No, we good.”

James Cook is blossoming into a superstar for the Buffalo Bills

Cook showed huge promise during his time as a Georgia Bulldog, averaging 6.5 yards per carry and 10.9 yards per reception for his college career. The versatile running back has made a name for himself in the NFL, and he looks every bit worth the second-round pick Buffalo used on him in the 2022 draft.

Through three games, Cook has scored four total touchdowns. In Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins , Cook ran for 78 yards and two rushing scores while catching a 17-yard touchdown as well.

Cook is averaging 95 all-purpose yards per game, and he barely played in the second half of Buffalo’s most recent beatdown. He is also boasting a career-best 88.9% catch rate with eight catches on nine targets, as well as a career-best 12.1 yards per reception.

The Bills look like a serious Super Bowl contender with Joe Brady’s run-heavy offense unlocking the versatility of both Cook and his MVP-favorite quarterback Josh Allen.
