The latest installment in a years-long quest — generating interest in track and field outside the Olympics — gets underway Thursday night in New York.

Athlos NYC is a streamlined track meet for women created by Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit and best known in sports as Serena Williams' husband. The event features six races, with six athletes competing in each race and winners set to take home $60,000 in prize money.

Despite the small size of the field, the meet is packed with elite talent. Four Paris Olympics gold medalists will take to the track: Gabby Thomas (200m) and Masai Russell (100m hurdles) of the United States, Marileidy Paulino (400m) of the Dominican Republic and Faith Kipyegon (1500m) of Kenya.

The races aren't the only attraction, either: Megan Thee Stallion will perform after the meet. Here's everything to know to watch all the action Thursday night.
