ACC and Big Ten action highlight this week's Friday night slate in college football.

First, No. 7 Miami (4-0) looks to continue its blazing start to the 2024 season in its ACC opener against Virginia Tech (2-2). The Hurricanes are rolling behind veteran quarterback Cam Ward, who has already amassed 14 touchdowns and 1,439 passing yards on the young season.

Once considered an ACC dark horse, the Hokies look to find their footing after dropping two games in non-conference play. Quarterback Kyron Drones has thrown three interceptions, including a back-breaker with 84 seconds to play in last Saturday's loss to Rutgers.

The Scarlet Knights (3-0) welcome Washington (3-1) to New Jersey in an unorthodox, cross-country Big Ten matchup. Rutgers touts one of the nation's best running backs in senior Kyle Monangai, who has five touchdowns and 457 rushing yards in three games to spark a bruising offense.

The Huskies won their Big Ten opener on Saturday, with a smooth 24-5 win over Northwestern. Veteran quarterback Will Rogers, a Mississippi State transfer, threw two touchdowns in the victory.
