The aftereffects of Hurricane Helene could play a pivotal role in the Week 4 matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on Sunday, September 29.

Though the onslaught of rain has passed, there is still a 50% chance of rain on Sunday afternoon. The temperature is expected to be 88 degrees.  In addition, 80% humidity is expected meaning the real temperature will be in the upper 90s on the field, potentially hitting 100 degrees.

The oppressive conditions will require players to drink plenty of fluids. It may require frequent substitutions to give players rest.  There will be plenty of sweat and rain so holding on to the football will be challenging.

Fans tend to think that snowy conditions are the most oppressive, but extreme heat is just as challenging. Both teams have dealt with similar weather conditions over the summer during training camp.  The team that endures better will probably come out the victor.
