Former Denver Broncos third-round bust gets another shot in the league

Former Denver Broncos defensive tackle McTelvin Agim is getting another shot in the NFL, signing with the Tennessee Titans' practice squad on Friday. The Titans will be the fifth NFL team for Agim.

The Broncos selected Agim in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft (No. 95 overall). The team used a premium pick on Agim's raw talent and potential upside, but he never materialized in three seasons with the team. He played in just 17 games for the Broncos, never making a start, and had 1.5 sacks.

The Broncos released him before the end of the 2022 season and the Indianapolis Colts signed him. He spent about a season on their practice squad before being released and then doing the same for the Houston Texans. He signed to the Colts practice squad again in late August but was released about three weeks later.

He now continues his tour of the AFC South division in Tennessee.

McTelvin Agim latches on with Titans

The Titans have a stout defensive line with Jeffery Simmons and rookie T'Vondre Sweat playing alongside veteran Sebastian Joseph-Day. Agim will be one of two defensive tackles on their practice squad but will likely only be called onto the main roster in an emergency situation.

Agim was an intriguing prospect coming out of Arkansas in college, but the Broncos gave him a fair shake and he just did not separate himself from others at the professional level.

He has enough talent to be called upon in a pinch but will likely just be the same level of practice squad player that he was in Indianapolis and Houston as that seems to be his ceiling.
