Rutgers head coach applauds Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola ahead of Week 6 matchup

Rutgers vs. Nebraska is one of the marquee matchups within the Big Ten in Week 6. While the Scarlet Knights are coming off a nail-biter win against Washington at home, the Cornhuskers took care of business against Purdue in West Lafayette after a slow start.

Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola will be a player to watch in this one, as he ranks fourth in the Big Ten in passing just as a freshman. Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano praised the Georgia native in a recent press conference on Tuesday.

“He’s big, he’s mobile, he can throw on the move, he can throw from the pocket,” Schiano told the media, “There’s not much this guy can’t do, but that’s why he was such a highly recruited quarterback. He’s got all the tools.”

Raiola has this Cornhusker offense playing well, as they’ve scored 24+ points in every game this season. Isaiah Neyor and Jahmal Banks have been tremendous in helping their freshman quarterback into his freshman season, combining for 543 yards and six touchdowns.

However, this Scarlet Knight offense isn’t one to overlook, either. Rutgers poses a solid rushing attack led by Kyle Monangai, who was the Big Ten’s leading rusher last season. Nebraska could really use this win at home before challenging road tasks against Indiana and Ohio State in the following weeks.
