Tyree Wilson showed signs of progress in Raiders' Week 4 win over Browns

The Las Vegas Raiders have been ravaged by injuries over the first four weeks of the 2024 season, and that has especially been true along the edge, where the team desperately needs Tyree Wilson to step up.

With Malcolm Koonce out for the season and Maxx Crosby out with a high-ankle sprain, Wilson did just that in Week 4.

According to Pro Football Focus , Wilson tied his career-high with five pressures against the Browns, while also finishing with a pass-rush win rate of 21.4% and a grade of 82.7. The grade and pressures were ranked eighth and seventh among edge rushers, respectively.

Wilson wasn't the only defender to step up, though, as Charles Snowden posted five pressures and notched a sack, and Adam Butler contributed seven pressures and one sack.

But it wasn't just about the raw numbers with Wilson. Check out the former No. 7 overall pick perfectly timing a snap on this pass play that led to one of his five pressures. He probably would've had a sack if not for the clear holding.

Here's another impressive rep from Wilson, where he collapses the pocket by standing up the left tackle and pushing him backwards.

Nobody is declaring Wilson fixed after just one game, but there were definite signs of progress for the embattled edge rusher. We'll see if he can build on that in a Week 5 matchup against the Denver Broncos.
