2024 was a tough season for the Toronto Blue Jays. After winning 89 games and securing a Wild Card spot in 2023, Toronto missed the postseason in 2024.

They ultimately finished at the bottom of the American League East with a record of 74-88. But they may ultimately decide to try and contend again in 2025.

If they want to do that, they'll need to add some pieces, and Zach Pressnell of FanSided predicts that they could reunite with an old friend in Teoscar Hernandez.

"Teoscar Hernandez played six seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, slashing .263/.320/.503 with 129 home runs in 609 games with the team," Pressnell wrote. "The Blue Jays are now looking to completely rebuild their team in one offseason, and they will be looking at all the top free agents in order to improve their team."

Hernandez had a fantastic season with the Los Angeles Dodgers and will be a key piece to the puzzle for the postseason. The 31-year-old outfielder hit .272 with 33 home runs, 99 RBI, 12 stolen bases, and an .840 OPS.

In all likelihood, he'll be in line to sign a multi-year deal, and the Blue Jays certainly have the money to pull it off.

General Manager Ross Atkins will also be motivated to improve the team after this year's debacle.

Hernandez could be a perfect fit for Toronto and is somebody they could build around in the event that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette don't return after 2025.

It will certainly be interesting to see what his market looks like this winter and if the Blue Jays decide to give him a look.
