Cristiano Ronaldo wants Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne to join him at Al Nassr in 2025.

The Portugal superstar is keen for the Saudi Pro League giants to sign more European stars next year and City veteran De Bruyne is a rumoured option.

De Bruyne's current contract at the Etihad Stadium expires at the end of the 2024/25 season with no confirmation on his plans for a renewal in Manchester.

The uncertainty over whether Pep Guardiola will sign a contract extension is also a factor in De Bruyne's thinking as he faces a key call on his future.

De Bruyne's deal in Manchester runs out in June 2025 and he is free to negotiate a free transfer with non- Premier League clubs from the start of 2025.

However, he will not be able to join a new team as a free agent until the summer, unless City take the unlikely step of releasing him from his contract.

De Bruyne is widely reported to be the highest-earning player in the Premier League with a weekly wage of around £400,000 ($523,000) and a renewal could included a reduction of that.

As per reports from Mundo Deportivo , Ronaldo wants Al Nassr to put forward an offer to De Bruyne which could include a $1m-a-week salary.

De Bruyne has previously hinted at an openness to a move to Saudi Arabia if he decided against continuing his career in Europe.

Al Nassr have the financial reserves to make such an offer if De Bruyne can be persuaded against staying at City.
