The New England Patriots have struggled along the offensive line throughout the year, and they took a significant hit in Week 4 when center David Andrews left with an injury.

It was eventually announced that Andrews needed surgery, and he was shut down for the year.

Now, New England's captain is sharing more details about the injury and the surgery that he's having to try and get back on the field and play for the Patriots again.

"What I did is, in 2021, I tore both labrums, the same rotator cuff that I just did in my bicep. In 2021, I told the rotator cuff off the bone," Andrews said on " The Quick Snap " podcast, his show with Brian Hoyer. "Now, I've torn it in the meat of it. So, what they're gonna try to do— now this is someone who didn't graduate college trying to explain— they're going to try to put a sheath over this and hopefully the muscles regrow. It's not 100%, but it gives me the best shot to continue my football career, and that's all I can ask for."

Andrews is a warrior, and it's evident just how passionate he is about the game and playing on the field with his guys.

Hopefully the procedure works and he's able to get on the field for the 2025 season and there are no complications beyond that in his everyday life.
