Bulls star linked to Warriors via trade: 'Credible Klay Thompson impression'

The Chicago Bulls are going to be involved in a lot of trade rumors this season, and for good reason.

The Bulls still desperately need to part ways with both Zach LaVine and Nikole Vucević. Both players and the contracts attached to them are blockades to Chicago’s rebuild.

Would the Golden State Warriors take on LaVine in a deal?

Bleacher Report’s Grant Hughes believes the possibility still exists.

“LaVine could do a credible Klay Thompson impression and then some, bringing more slashing verve and shot creation to an offensive package with similarly deadly outside shooting,” Hughes said recently.

“The cost is the issue, and the Warriors may have already missed the opportunity to onboard LaVine when he was viewed as a negative asset, possibly with additional picks coming in as sweeteners.”

“It feels like LaVine's value is already climbing, but Golden State could still justify sending out unwanted salary with, say, one first-rounder to get something done.”

LaVine looked healthy during Chicago’s preseason opener. If the two-time All-Star continues to look like his normal self during the start of the season, the Bulls might land on a deal for him before the trade deadline.

Expect the Warriors to continue monitoring the LaVine situation throughout.
