The Los Angeles Chargers will be coming out of their bye week and heading to the Mile High City to face a Denver Broncos team they have struggled with in recent years.

While the Broncos have been in an uncharacteristic slump since winning Super Bowl 50, they have still gotten the better of the Chargers in that time. The Broncos have won the last three games against the Chargers and dating back to the beginning of the 2014 season, the Broncos hold a 15-6 record against the AFC West rival.

Of course, things are different now that Jim Harbaugh is the Chargers' head coach. The Chargers started this season 2-0 but lost their last two games and suffered several key injuries in that process. It remains to be seen what the game status for Joey Bosa and Rashawn Slater will be but it does look like the team will have rookie right tackle Joe Alt available.

That will be big in the Chargers putting an end to this mini-losing streak against Denver. Currently, the Broncos hold a 73-55-1 all-time lead in the series.

When was the last time the Chargers beat the Broncos?

It has been about two years right on the nose. October 17, 2022, was the date and the game took place on Monday Night Football . It also went into overtime.

It was a game filled with errors made by both teams. Justin Herbert attempted 57 passes but didn't throw a touchdown. In the end, it was Dustin Hopkins, now with the Cleveland Browns, who was the hero for Los Angeles.

Hopkins kicked four field goals on the day, including a 39-yarder to win it in the extra frame.

The Chargers and Broncos kick off at 1:05 pm PT on Sunday and the game will be televised on CBS. Andrew Catalon and Tiki Barber will have the call.
