    Even the forecast can't wait for more playoff baseball.

    On Friday, Saturday's ALDS Game 5 between the Guardians and Tigers was moved to the early afternoon from a late night start because of inclement weather heading into the Cleveland area. With the series tied at 2-2 and one game between each team and a shot at the pennant, MLB was not going to take any chances with this one.

    Tigers vs. Guardians start time

    The series finale between Detroit and Cleveland was originally scheduled to begin at 8:08 p.m. ET, but MLB announced Friday afternoon that the contest was moved forward to 1:08 p.m. to accommodate rain in the forecast.

    Cleveland weather forecast for Saturday, Oct. 12

    The National Weather Service shows increasing chances of rain throughout the weekend for downtown Cleveland, the home of Progressive Field. As of Friday afternoon, the Saturday forecast showed light rain in the morning into the early afternoon before picking up to a 65 percent to 80 percent chance around 6 p.m. ET.

    The high is listed as 66 degrees and the low is at 57 degrees. There are also winds between 10 and 15 mph with a predicted half an inch of precipitation.

    During the day, it is expected to be cloudy in the morning with off-and-on showers throughout the afternoon with possible thunder. It will remain windy, but chances of rain sit at around 40 percent at the moment.
