Why Jamal Adams is reportedly 'frustrated' with the Tennessee Titans

When safety Jamal Adams signed with the Tennessee Titans during the offseason, it was assumed he'd have a fairly sizeable role, especially considering the team's need for more options at the position.

However, through four games, things have not panned out the way Adams hoped. The veteran safety has played just 20 snaps in the three contests he's played, including just two in Week 3 and one in Week 4.

On Saturday, the Titans placed Adams, who was listed on the injury report with a hip issue, on the reserve/non-football injury list , which indicates his injury was suffered away from football.

Whatever the case may be, Adams is reportedly unhappy with the Titans due to his non-existent role, according to ESPN's Turron Davenport .

"Titans safety Jamal Adams has been frustrated by the lack of playing time," he reported. "Only playing one snap on (Monday Night Football) vs. the Dolphins really bothered him according to a source. Adams felt he could contribute and was ok with a non starter role. He just wanted a chance to help the team."

Adams being disgruntled with his team is nothing new, as it's something we've seen from him during his career. The fact that this situation is playing out this way is the least surprising thing ever when you take into account his very limited snaps.

Upon signing with the Titans, Adams looked like he was going to have a decent role, but his opportunity for playing time took a major hit when Tennessee signed his former Seattle Seahawks teammate and fellow safety Quandre Diggs.

If the Titans really felt Adams could be a difference-maker, he'd be playing more. Clearly they don't think much of him at this stage in his career, for one reason or another.

Following his being placed on the NFI list, and with Adams being disgruntled, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out this pairing is headed for a divorce.
