Will the Toronto Blue Jays make any major changes this winter?

It doesn't necessarily sound like it.

Toronto struggled in 2024. The Blue Jays were expected to be one of the top teams in the American League, and yet they finished in last place in the American League East with a disappointing 74-88 record.

The Blue Jays need to go back to the drawing board this winter, and there already has been speculation that trades could be coming. Bo Bichette has been mentioned as a trade candidate, but some also think the team may keep the core together for one more run.

Some also have wondered if the Blue Jays could make a change at manager, but FanSided's Zachary Rotman predicted that John Schneider will be back at least for one more year.

"Not only did Atkins survive this brutal season, but John Schneider is also back as the team's manager," Rotman said. "This doesn't come as a major surprise considering all reporting suggested that no major changes will be made, but that doesn't mean that this is the right decision.

"Is it all Schneider's fault that the team underperformed as much as they did this season? Of course not. Virtually everyone not named Vladimir Guerrero Jr. failed to reach expectations, and there were a bevy of injuries as well. Still, in parts of three seasons in charge, can we really say that Schneider has elevated this team?"

It doesn't sound like a change is coming. Rotman certainly is right.
