The Naylor influence is strong in Cleveland.

The Guardians are in the midst of a deep playoff run in 2024. The club is taking on the Yankees in the ALCS this postseason, with the hopes of getting back to the World Series for the first time since 2016. Cleveland owns the longest World Series drought in the league, having not won a title since 1948.

If the Guardians want to knock off the Yankees and win a World Series, it's going to be relying on the power of brotherly love. Josh and Bo Naylor are two key members of the AL Central winners, seeing action on a nightly basis for Stephen Vogt's crew.

The pair of Canadians make up two-thirds of the family that could soon be adding a third Naylor to the MLB level.

Here is what to know about the Naylor family, along with Josh and Bo's background.

    Josh Naylor

Josh is the oldest brother in the Naylor family. He is the primary first baseman for the Guardians.

The 27-year-old is in the midst of his fifth season in Cleveland. Naylor was a first-round draft pick of the Marlins in 2015. He was included in a 2016 trade involving Miami and San Diego, starting his MLB career with the Padres. He played in San Diego for a season and a half before he was traded again, this time to Cleveland, in 2020.

Naylor has been a powerful bat in the Guardians' lineup since arriving in "The Land." The left-handed slugger is a career .264/.324/.444 hitter in his time in Cleveland career. In the 2024 regular season, he batted .243 with 108 RBIs and a career-high 34 home runs in his first All-Star campaign.

    Bo Naylor

Naylor is the middle brother in the Naylor family. He currently is a starting catcher on the Guardians.

The 24-year-old was selected in the first round of the 2018 MLB Draft by Cleveland. After spending four seasons in the minors, he made his MLB debut in 2022, seeing action in five games for the Guardians.

After seeing action in 67 games last year, he grabbed the starting role in Cleveland for 2024. He batted .201 with 13 home runs and 39 RBIs.

    Myles Naylor

Myles is the youngest Naylor brother. The third baseman was selected in the second round of the 2023 MLB Draft by the Athletics.

The 19-year-old spent the 2024 season at the Single-A level, playing for the Stockton Ports. He batted .192 with 58 RBI this season.

    Naylor brothers parents

The parents of the three Naylor brothers are Chris and Jenice Naylor.

"Both our parents play a huge role in our success and our upbringing,” Josh said in an article on the Guardians' website . "They made us the gentlemen we are today, the players we are today, and we’re super thankful for them. They’re heaven sent. I can say a million good things about them. They’re beautiful people, beautiful souls, and they helped us get to this situation today."

Where are the Naylor brothers from?

All three Naylor brothers are from Mississauga, Ontario in Canada.

The trio of siblings all attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School, playing baseball for the high school.

Josh played for Team Canada at the 2017 World Baseball Classic, while Bo was the lone Naylor representative for Canada at the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
