Stephen Nedoroscik DWTS performance: Olympic star pays homage to pommel horse, men's gymnastics in Week 5

Stephen Nedoroscik's ascent to world domination has been quite the sight to behold.

The Olympic bronze medalist was one of the stars of the 2024 Paris Games, surging his way into the U.S.'s consciousness with eye-catching displays atop his much-vaunted pommel horse.

He's gone from strength to strength in the months since then. You've likely seen him scrawled across your mom's television set on Season 33 of "Dancing With the Stars." It's safe to say 2024 has been the year of the "Pommel Horse Guy."

With great power comes great responsibility. For Nedoroscik, that means using his considerable platform to champion the sport that's offered him so much: men's gymnastics.

Episode 5 of "Dancing With the Stars" saw performers pay homage to figures who played a pivotal role in shaping their lives.

For most, that meant firing off a routine inspired by a specific person, from parents to coaches. Nedoroscik had different ideas, instead using his minute-long slot to cast a light towards the plight of men's gymnastics, which has been the victim of NCAA austerity over the past few years.

Nedoroscik twirled his way into Olympic history with his impressive showings on pommel horse. He followed that formula to a tee on Tuesday night, beginning his routine in a familiar place — mounted atop the pommel horse for all to see.

After alighting from his humble steed, Nedoroscik — sporting a sleek satin suit — raced his way down the ballroom floor, serving up all the feints, swivels and facial expressions that have come to define his floor showings. He was rewarded handsomely for his efforts, receiving a score of 33 out of 40, even carding his first nine in the process.

Who is Stephen Nedoroscik DWTS partner?

Nedoroscik's partner on "Dancing with the Stars" is professional Rylee Arnold.

Arnold, 19, is a native of Utah and competed as the pro on "Dancing with the Stars: Juniors" before her role on DWTS.

Stephen Nedoroscik eyesight conditions

Nedoroscik has two eyesight conditions, strabismus and coloboma, for which he wears glasses. Neither keep him from competing in his sport (or "Dancing with the Stars"), but that doesn't mean they don't make daily life a bit more difficult.
