Bronny James' NBA preseason debut has not gone as well as many expected given the monolith that is his father, LeBron.

The Lakers dropped contests to the Timberwolves and Suns before overcoming the Bucks by five last Thursday. The rookie appeared in each matchup for an average of just under 12 minutes, but he hasn't been able to put together more than a point per game on 11 total field goal attempts, only sinking one.

This lack of consistency is not uncommon to see in first-year players during their initial NBA games, but James' struggles from beyond the arc (0-for-4 through three preseason games) and limited finishing at the rim with his 6-2 frame are among the skills he needs to improve before earning a shot on the Los Angeles roster.
