The Davante Adams era in Las Vegas has officially come to an end after the Raiders traded the star wide receiver to the New York Jets on Tuesday.

The trade is the culmination of a weeks-long drama surrounding Adams, who finally had his wishes to be traded obliged, and now he reunites with his good buddy, Aaron Rodgers, in New York.

The day after the trade went down, Adams released a cookie-cutter statement on Wednesday that thanks both Raiders fans, and his former teammates. If you were expecting him to address his trade demand, you're going to be disappointed.

"As a kid from East Palo Alto who grew up a Raiders fan, the past three years have been both an honor and the fulfillment of a childhood dream," Adams wrote. "I came to Las Vegas with the intention of bringing a championship to the city and have cherished every opportunity to play with that continued pursuit in mind.

"To my teammates, coaches, ownership and staff - You have all taught me countless lessons and I am forever grateful for the resiliency, drive, and commitment you brought every day as we worked tireless to build something together.

"To Raider Nation - Thank you for your relentless passion and unwavering support when I put on the historic shield every Sunday. From Oakland to Las Vegas, Raider Nationa has and will always be part of my family."

The beginning of the end for Adams was when the Raiders parted ways with Derek Carr, who was arguably the biggest reason why the veteran wide receiver wanted to play in Las Vegas.

That said, I don't think Carr staying would have 100% guaranteed Adams sticking around forever. It was always going to be about wins and losses and Las Vegas' chances of winning a Super Bowl.

Whatever the case may be, the Davante Adams era is officially behind us and is just another negative footnote in the history of the Raiders.
