The Atlanta Braves were swept by the San Diego Padres in the National League Wild Card Series. They could look to make some moves in the offseason to get back to the World Series after winning just three years ago.

While listing free agents the Braves could sign to have an instant impact like Reynaldo Lopez did, FanSided's Wynston Wilcox urged the Braves to pursue Kiké Hernández of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

"Kiké Hernandez might be entering the twilight years of his career but if this postseason has shown anything, it’s that he’s still good enough to provide offensive production, which the Braves need imminently," wrote Wilcox.

Hernández not only brings offensive production but brings injury insurance as well. He is a versatile player who can play multiple positions. The Braves can use him in the outfield if Ronald Acuña Jr. struggles to stay healthy again.

"This season with the Dodgers, Hernandez hit for .227 with 12 home runs and 41 RBIs. The good thing is he can play in the outfield as well as middle infield," wrote Wilcox. "So if the Braves have health issues with Ronald Acuna Jr. again, he could be a serviceable replacement while also being able to fill in for any other injuries or shortcomings as well with his versatility."

Hernández's regular season numbers were nothing flashy, but the postseason has been a completely different story. Hernández has a .333 average in October this season and two home runs as well. He is a key piece of the Dodgers offense right now.

Spotrac projects him to sign a one-year, $2.8 million deal in free agency. He could be a cheap and valuable piece for the Braves in his age-33 season.
