The Dallas Cowboys could look a little different over the next few weeks, depending on how the team decides to handle the upcoming National Football League trade deadline.

The deadline will pass on Nov. 5, and Dallas has some decisions to make. Dallas is 3-3 on the season, although it has seemed like the sky is falling. There is a lot of football left to be played, and the Cowboys have plenty of talent throughout the roster.

Dallas certainly can turn things around. The Cowboys are on their bye week and will return to the field on Sunday, Oct. 27, against the San Francisco 49ers.

Over the next few weeks, there will be a lot of chatter with the trade deadline approaching. Will Dallas make any moves? It could make sense to bring some players to town, depending on how the Cowboys do over the next few weeks.

If the Cowboys lose the next few games, could they consider trading veterans ahead of the deadline? Fox16.com's Koby Skillern floated receiver Brandin Cooks as a hypothetical trade option.

"Brandin Cooks' value has diminished given his recent performances and age, but the Cowboys could still trade him for a sixth or seventh-round pick," Skillern said. "Cooks doesn’t appear to factor into the Cowboys' long-term plans, and moving him would open the door to evaluate younger receivers like Jalen Tolbert, Jalen Brooks, and Ryan Flournoy.

"This would be the perfect opportunity to see what the team has in its developing talent while gaining a draft asset in return."

Cooks signed a two-year, $39.7 million deal and has the opportunity to be a free agent next offseason. If the Cowboys don't plan on bringing him back, it may make sense to go out and see what a trade could look like. But, only if the team thinks it's out of contention which it currently isn't.
