The New York Yankees are looking to build on their 2-0 lead in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series as they visit Progressive Field to take on the Cleveland Guardians.

With Clarke Schmidt on the mound against Guardians left-hander Matthew Boyd, the Yankees decided to make a pretty significant change to the starting lineup.

After starting the first two games of the series behind the plate and hitting in the fourth spot behind Aaron Judge in the batting order, rookie Austin Wells is not in the lineup.

Despite his fantastic rookie season, the left-handed slugger is hitting .083 with 10 strikeouts and just two hits in 26 plate appearances this postseason.

Instead, the Yankees will have the red-hot Giancarlo Stanton hit behind Judge while Jose Trevino will be behind the plate for Schmidt and rounding out the order from the ninth spot.

Also, Jon Berti is getting the start at first base in place of Anthony Rizzo, who was 2-for-4 with a run scored in the Game 2 win at Yankee Stadium.

    Yankees starting lineup today

    1. Gleyber Torres, 2B
    2. Juan Soto, RF
    3. Aaron Judge, CF
    4. Giancarlo Stanton, DH
    5. Jazz Chisholm Jr., 3B
    6. Jon Berti, 1B
    7. Anthony Volpe, SS
    8. Alex Verdugo, LF
    9. Jose Trevino, C

First pitch is set for 5:08 p.m. ET at Progressive Field on Thursday.
