49ers $7 million starter predicted to cut ties with S.F. in favor of Dolphins

The San Francisco 49ers had arguably their most important win of the season on Sunday night.

San Francisco took on the Dallas Cowboys at Levi's Stadium. The 49ers entered the clash with a 3-4 record, and the Cowboys sat at 3-3. Both were in a similar situation in the sense that both were underperforming.

The 49ers needed to come away with a win and did, and now they are 4-4. Plus, the 49ers are entering their bye week, so they have a little more time to get healthy. Things are looking up for San Francisco.

With the National Football League regular season just about to cross the midpoint of the year, speculation is building about where players could go now in free agency, as well as next offseason. Because of this, Bleacher Report's scouting department predicted that starting guard Aaron Banks will end up signing with the Miami Dolphins next offseason.

"2025 Free Agency: IOL Aaron Banks, San Francisco 49ers," Bleacher Report said. "Both Robert Jones and Liam Eichenberg are set to hit free agency, and the Dolphins have sorely missed Robert Hunt.

"The offensive line hasn't been good enough to help Miami get over the loss of Tua Tagovailoa, and they didn't do a good job of protecting him in the first place. Aaron Banks could help fix the problem. He has become a dependable starter for the 49ers, so there's a good chance there would be some overlap in his skills and Mike McDaniel's system."

Banks has been great for the 49ers and is a starter. He currently is in the final year of a four-year, $7 million deal. Banks likely will get paid next offseason, and San Francisco likely will lose him. It's far too early to make a prediction like this, though. Hopefully, the 49ers just keep finding ways to win games.
